So I was at Wild Things on SecondLife yesterday and I got bored so I wanted to draw something fun. Well Zera irl is an archer and I was thinking...a sci-fi futuristic archer would be cool...so here she is. If I could draw them better I was going to do a steam punk archer.
Features:
Laser scope on the bow (not that Zera uses it) laser line 'string' (thats why you cant see it). The bow creates a shaft of light when the 'string' is pulled back the energy from the generators built into the bow turn on and focus the energy into the shaft then when the 'string' is released the shoots the gathered energy in a laser. Zera has data readers built into her arm to read movements, wind speed and what not she also has two pistons built into her left shoulder to help pull back the string but she has no bionic aids for her aim thats all her.
I think this picture is pretty bad ass, if somewhat redonculous (I think people shoot bows with the arrow at eye-level?). It reminds me of Uryu Ishida from Bleach - looking at the picture, it seems like her bow would make a similarly cool whooshing-type noise when she draws it. And her skirt is nice, too.
Steam punk archer? Does that mean their bow would incorporate steam-powered gadgetry, or am I completely off on that?

yeah I based the pose off a pic of Ishida from Bleach (I wuv him!) she does shoot with the arrow up by her eye but considering its a focused laser i'd rather keep that away from my face.
Steam punk archer, of course steam-powered! I was thinking a kind of steam turbine on the draw hand that pushes back to force the pull then a series of pistons that help launch the arrow or something. I honestly don't know enough about steam-punk to do it right.

I am lost to the shadows, the light can no longer reach me. This is my new home, this is my new being, I must live like this or die.

For some reason, that hand on the right gripping the arrow looks off for some reason.
Anyway, good job!
